Delivering the Total Experience

With COVID-19, we have realized a new agency mission:  to accelerate modernization of the IT stack to embrace digital-first government.  Modern, Cloud-native digital experience platforms (DXPs) empower agencies to accelerate delivery of new digital services accessible to all citizens supporting any device, screen, or mode of interaction (voice, chat, text).  In a new digital-first world, digit-first government harness the power of a DXP post-pandemic to re-imagine the total experience:  enabling the mission with a new, digital-first civil servant experience, and fulfilling the mission with a new, digital first citizen experience.

Panel: Accelerating Cloud Modernization through Migration within The Federal Government

As Federal agencies work to realize their cloud smart strategies, shifting to modernizing in a way that leverages both cloud and hybrid environments to transform the way they manage their data have become more prevalent. This type of modernization allows these Federal agencies to support the increasing and evolving operational needs of their missions in a flexible manner. Join this panel to hear a discussion on the best practices used to make this acceleration within the Federal cloud, as well as the benefits accelerating cloud modernization through migration brings the Federal government.

Tune into this panel to hear from Federal topic experts on the reason to migrate to the cloud, common migration experiences, and the benefits cloud migration can bring. What lessons have these topic experts learned while making the shift to the cloud? What challenges have these topic experts faced while modernizing their agency’s cloud? What best strategies did they have to put in place to overcome these challenges?

Understanding the 3 Essential Pillars: Cloud Native Security

With many organizations now deploying cloud native applications based on micro-services, using containers, VMs and serverless functions, they are faced with new security challenges and threats. Based on Aqua’s experience with hundreds of cloud native implementations since 2016, we’ve come to the realization that any cloud native security strategy must address these three areas – the build phase of applications, the infrastructure on which applications run, and the workloads themselves. In this talk we will show how this holistic approach creates an opportunity to automate and improve security to previously unattainable levels, and the agility and acceleration it enables to drive digital transformation and cloud enablement initiatives.

Accelerating Secure Federal IT Modernization using the Cloud Operating Model

The rapid delivery of applications across today’s dynamic hybrid cloud environments presents increasing challenges in Federal IT. The transition to hybrid/multi-cloud environments is a generational change that requires reframing IT operations and application delivery into a modern cloud operating model. Automation of the application deployment process with DevOps practices accelerates the ability of an organization to design, test, and deploy secure software in ephemeral and dynamic environments. The rising cyber threat landscape demands a zero trust approach to security that trusts nothing and authenticates and authorizes everything. This talk introduces the HashiCorp Cloud Operating Model that accelerates adoption of hybrid/multi-cloud and rapid application delivery while integrating zero trust security into Federal IT.

Panel: Embracing the Future of Cloud and Data within the Federal Government

The pandemic has only accelerated and deepened agency’s responses to create the work-from-anywhere environment that harnesses cloud resources of every kind, from public, to private and hybrid. Having proven that remote work can work well, many agencies have moved past their initial cloud efforts and are restructuring for the longer modernization haul. In making those plans to migrate, agencies have to consider cloud security and usability compromises, how cloud infrastructure platforms can scale, and figure out how to incorporate multi- and hybrid-cloud requirements. Tune into this panel to hear from topic experts on the response of the pandemic to the Federal cloud space, as well as where Federal cloud will go in the future.

Listen in as topic experts go in depth about their Federal agency cloud modernization experiences, the importance of including cloud and management platforms in modernization plans, and the value of platform scalability and security in modernizing. Where do these topic experts see Federal cloud and data going within the Federal Government? What IT innovation and technology will help them get it there?
