SUMMARY:Quantum Speaker Series Presents: Quantum Computing for Optimizing Logistics & Warehouse Operations
DESCRIPTION:  Presents\nQuantum Speaker Series Presents: Quantum Computing for Optimizing Logistics & Warehouse Operations\nDecember 9\, 2025    |    1:30 – 2:00 PM ET\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n December 9\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About This Webinar:\n \n \n \n \n \n E-commerce efficiency hinges on warehouse automation\, but order scheduling becomes computationally intractable as operations scale. This talk presents a quantum annealing solution that reduces order fulfillment time by up to 66% in simulated environments (validated on D-Wave hardware). The custom designed QUBO model enables you to efficiently solve the warehouse optimization problem via CPU\, GPU and QPU – all while taking into consideration the constraints inherent to both the optimization problem and the current limitations of available quantum computers. The framework is hardware-agnostic\, scalable to 1000+ stacks\, and adaptable across industries. \nOpen Q&A discussion. \n \n \n \n \n \n Speaker:\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Vardaan Sahgal\n Quantum Software & Solutions Head\, The Washington Institute for STEM\, Entrepreneurship and Research (WISER) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n				 \nVardaan Sahgal leads the Quantum Solutions Launchpad at WISER\, where he accelerates enterprise quantum adoption by building strategies\, driving joint R&D\, and connecting global technology communities. His work bridges theoretical physics\, applied research\, and industry deployment\, with a focus on turning emerging science into measurable impact. \nVardaan’s journey began in theoretical atomic physics\, evolving into a career that has delivered more than 17 industry pilots with Fortune 500 companies\, national labs\, and government agencies. He has incubated three startups\, built an ecosystem of over 85 partners\, and guided organizations in navigating the path from experimentation to real-world quantum advantage. \nRecognized internationally as a Young Pioneer in Quantum Technology Under 30 (2024)\, he has spoken at leading forums\, including Q2B\, IEEE\, Quantum.Tech\, and the Indo-German Quantum Policy Dialogue. His contributions have earned him the Global Community Choice Award from IBM (2021) for advancing quantum circuit efficiency and exploring early business use cases in the NISQ era. \nIn addition to his role at WISER\, Vardaan is a member of the Open Quantum Institute\, a Qiskit Advocate at IBM\, and an active contributor to the global quantum ecosystem. He has previously held research and teaching roles at MIT\, IIT Delhi\, NSUT\, and the University of Delhi. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Zoom for Government enables ATARC remote collaboration opportunities through its cloud platform for video and audio conferencing\, chats and webinars across all devices. Allowing for individuals from all areas of government\, industry and academia to communicate directly.
