SUMMARY:ATARC AI Cybersecurity Operations Working Group - Roundtable Kickoff
DESCRIPTION:  \n   Presents\nWorking Group Kickoff Event:\nAI Cybersecurity Operations Working Group\n\nAugust 11\, 2026 | 1:30-2:30 PM EST (Virtual)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register Here!\n \n \n \n \n \n Artificial intelligence is transforming how federal agencies detect threats\, analyze intelligence\, and respond to cyber incidents. To support this evolution\, ATARC is launching the AI Cybersecurity Operations Working Group\, bringing together the Cyber AI Convergence and Threat Intelligence Working Groups into a single community dedicated to advancing AI-enabled cyber operations and addressing the security challenges of AI-enabled systems.\nJoin government leaders\, industry experts\, and academic researchers for the inaugural roundtable as we launch this new working group. The discussion will examine how agencies operationalizing AI across Security Operations Centers (SOCs):\n            – Integrating AI into threat intelligence and threat hunting\n            – Leveraging automation to improve cyber defense\n            – Securing increasingly AI-enabled environments\n            – Combating adversarial AI\n            – Governance and risk management\n            – Data ingestion and visibility\n            – Red and purple teaming\n            – Workforce transformation \n            – Emerging architectures for next-generation cyber operations\nThis interactive discussion will help shape the Working Group’s future priorities\, research initiatives\, and collaborative activities. Participants are encouraged to share lessons learned\, discuss operational challenges\, and help identify the topics and deliverables that will drive future meetings\, white papers\, and community guidance.\n \n \n \n \n \n Speakers:\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Kickoff starts in:\n \n \n Day(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Hour(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Minute(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Second(s) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Zoom for Government enables ATARC remote collaboration opportunities through its cloud platform for video and audio conferencing\, chats and webinars across all devices. SUMMARY:Quantum Speaker Series: Quantum’s Industrial Moment: Strengthening U.S. Quantum Supply Chains

Over the next three to five years\, advanced quantum sensors and computers once confined to laboratories will begin to have real-world impact\, with significant economic and national security implications. But the United States faces a major industrial challenge: its quantum supply chains are thin\, globally dispersed—in some cases reliant on China and Russia—and poorly positioned for the transition to commercial utility\, posing significant vulnerabilities for quantum’s continued development and deployment. This talk will offer a framework for assessing these gaps across quantum hardware modalities\, enabling technologies\, and vulnerability categories\, as well as recommendations to strengthen the industrial foundations of U.S. quantum leadership. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Speaker:\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Constanza M. Vidal Bustamante\, PhD\, is a fellow with the Technology and National Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS)\, where she leads the Center’s quantum policy research. Her work examines the intersection of quantum technologies with U.S. national and economic security\, and currently focuses on the supply chains\, manufacturing capacity\, and deployment infrastructure needed to scale and sustain the United States’ quantum competitiveness. \nVidal Bustamante is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. Prior to CNAS\, she was a science and technology policy researcher at the National Academies of Sciences\, Engineering\, and Medicine and at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs\, where she led research on semiconductor workforce development\, digital technology governance\, and the domestic and international dynamics shaping the United States’ strategy for technology leadership.  \nVidal Bustamante holds doctoral\, master’s\, and bachelor’s degrees from Harvard University. \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Zoom for Government enables ATARC remote collaboration opportunities through its cloud platform for video and audio conferencing\, chats and webinars across all devices.
