Key Group Objectives
- Form dedicated Project Teams that work together with government participants and focus on specific Mobile topic areas
- Identify mobile technology and associated contract vehicles that government can utilize to procure mobile products, services and solutions
- Define mobile sub-components as defined in Mobile Services Category Team’s Mobile Services Roadmap
Key Group Activities
- Bi-weekly status call with members of your project team
- Ability to attend meetings for all other project teams
- Organize government and industry events hosted by your project team
- Quarterly in-person meetings at government location
- Project deliverables to support Mobile Services Category Team
- Weekly leadership call to discuss project activities & progress
Working Group Project Teams
The Mobile Working Group Project Teams consist of the following categories: BYOD, Emerging Technology, Identity Management, Mobile Security, Customer Experience, Agency Engagement, Strategic Sourcing, and 5G.
Leadership team
The ATARC Mobile Leadership team provides direction, guidance, and support to the various groups of project team Leaders and members in the Mobile Working Group, The Leadership team exists for the purpose of helping the project teams achieve their goals, and coordinate between cross-cutting topics.
The Mobile Working Group meets every Friday from 9:00-9:45 AM.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
This project team will focus on the Data Center Optimization Initiative, examining data center strategies and the transition to cloud and inter-agency shared services. The team will examine lessons learned, discuss DCOI strategic plans and new government policies that may impact DCOI.
This team meets every other Wednesday from 9:00-9:30 AM.

Emerging Technology Project Team
This project team will examine the art of the possible, focusing on disruptive mobile technologies and innovation that will impact the way a government agency conducts its daily business. Among the technologies that will be examined will include Virtual SIMs, Controlled Unclassified Information for Voice, and Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Wearables Virtual Reality, 5G and Drones.
This team meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday from 12-1 PM.

Identity Management Project Team
This project team will examine a crucial component of mobile, identity management. The project team will analyze various components of the trusted execution environment including Identity and Access Management (IdAM), Credentials and Access Management (ICAM), Derived Credentials, Personal Identity Verification (PIV) and Common Access Card (CAC).
This team meets every other Friday from 12-1 PM.

Mobile Security Project Team
The project team will examine all facets of mobile security, analyzing mobile security tools and recommended best practices for securing the mobile device. The team will also work on projects such as vetting of mobile applications for software vulnerabilities, and examination of FISMA metrics and other mobile security standards.
This team meets every other Friday from 10-11 AM.

Mobile Agency Engagement Project Team
This project team will engage with a variety of Federal agencies, listening to their mobile challenges and pain paints, and then providing potential solutions utilizing a category management approach.

Mobile Customer Experience Project Team
This project team will examine ways that Federal agencies can better utilize customer experience technologies and techniques to improve the public-facing mobile applications that serve the citizens of the United States. This team also focuses on the IDEA Act which seeks to close the technology gap between government and the private sector, while promoting greater availability of digital forms, e-signatures, and a more user-friendly experience .

Strategic Sourcing Project Team
This project team will examine strategic sourcing components surrounding mobile and analyze the challenges faced for agencies to successfully budget and procure mobile solutions for a government agency.
