Leadership Team
The ATARC Cybersecurity Leadership provides direction, guidance, and support to the various groups of project team Leaders and members in the Cybersecurity Working Group, The Leadership team exists for the purpose of helping the project teams achieve their goals, and coordinate between cross-cutting topics.
Cybersecurity Leadership is continuously conceiving and developing new initiatives, such as the state and local cyber grant program. These initiatives are at various stages of maturity towards becoming independent Working Groups, please contact us with your specific interests. In these groups, we hope to address many further-future-looking ideas and concepts including cyber range exercises, higher education, healthcare, etc.

Continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO)
In a rapidly changing technical environment, it’s no secret that cybersecurity is more important than ever. External security requirements, tech refresh and tech insertions, and bad actors and threats are increasing every day, putting pressure on the traditional ATO processes and the tempo in which they are done.
The problem is clear: the RMF/ATO process simply takes too long. Agility is critical to implementing security measures and IT modernization, but the timeline for modernization and security upgrades continues to increase, and additional labor is not the answer.
Enter the continual ATO process, critical in compressing timelines and decreasing the effort brought on by thwarting cybersecurity threats, allowing for more frequent application and security updates and upgrades benefitting overall program modernization and security.

Secure 5G
The mission of the Secure 5G Working Group is to advance communication between Government, industry, and academia, through identifying Secure 5G infrastructure and policies.
5G is opening the door to many emerging technologies that will be game-changing for the Government. Ultimately, agencies want to achieve the many benefits of fast and reliable 5G while operating through trusted networks. Securing 5G involves addressing threats to infrastructure, supply chain, and networks, while also standardizing policies and environments to ensure a frictionless user experience. The Secure 5G Working Group will be poised to develop strategies and tools to help improve the security posture when it comes to 5G Technology Solutions for the Government.
Learn what Government experts at the ATARC-hosted roundtable shared about agencies moving 5G systems beyond prototyping in the coming years, and related needs to evaluate security and risks throughout the increasingly complex ecosystem of end user equipment, radio access networks, 5G core networks, and edge computing systems.

SCRM
Effective Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) strategies are vital for national security, economic stability, and public health. However, there is no standardization for SCRM across government agencies.
In ATARC’s SCRM Working Group, we will seek to understand different programs’ unique approaches and best practices to improve security in the supply chain. We will holistically review the SCRM lifecycle, exploring in detail four major elements of the SCRM process: cyber, acquisition, intelligence, and logistics.
