Cloud Working Group
The ATARC Cloud Working Group is a technical working group of government, academia and private industry thought leaders collaborating on topics of interest to the Federal cloud & infrastructure community. The group’s goal is to provide the Federal Government with recommendations for methods to increase efficiency and reduce cost using cloud smart and cutting-edge infrastructure solutions.

Key Group Objectives
- Form dedicated Project Teams that work together with government participants and focus on specific cloud and data center topic areas
- Identify technology and associated contract vehicles that government can utilize to procure cloud products, services and solutions

- Bi-weekly status call with members of your project team
- Ability to attend meetings for all other project teams
- Quarterly in-person meetings at government location
- Project deliverables to support Data Center Optimization Initiative Managing Partner PMO
Working Group Project Teams
The Cloud Working Group Project Teams consist of the following categories: Data Center, Cloud Migration, Telecommunication/TIC, Cloud Cost Modeling, Cloud Security (agile ATO), App Rationalization, Cloud Reskilling, and Cloud Monitoring.
This Project Team encompasses both Data Center Evolution and Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI).
Tony Vicinelly, Nlyte Software
This Project Team will focus on cloud migration and the process of moving elements to a cloud computing environment, as well as the various types of cloud migrations that can be performed.
Ceresh Perry, Army Shirley Dagley, Army

Telecommunication/TIC Project Team
This Project Team will explore the purpose of the Trusted Internet Connections (TIC) Initiative and how it will improve the federal government’s security posture and incident response capability.
Gerald Caron, Department of State
This Project Team will explore the goals of a Cloud cost model to help a decision maker solve a problem. The purpose of cost modeling is to find the best solutions while saving time and money.
Robert Duffy, DHS
This Project Team will focus on increasing the speed of the Authority to Operate (ATO) for Cloud while keeping pace with security requirements in the Government. This project teams effort will also explore OSCAL (Open Security Controls Assessment Language) and the creation of a pilot that can capture multiple other features as proof of concept.
Laural Hargadon, U.S. House of Representatives
This Project Team will explore how to reskill workers and companies for the digital age of Cloud.
This Project Team will explore the processes within a cloud-based IT infrastructure and its use of automated IT monitoring techniques to ensure that a cloud infrastructure is performing at its most optimal level.
