Bill Hunt serves as a Digital Services Expert in the Office of the Federal Chief Information Officer at The Office of Management and Budget, where he works on Federal technology policy. Bill leads efforts on Cloud and Data Centers, including the 2018 Federal Cloud Computing Strategy (“Cloud Smart”).

Prior to his work at OMB, Bill served as a Digital Services Expert with the United States Digital Service at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Before joining government, he spent 20 years in the private sector working in technology, leading teams to create applications and solutions for some of the best-known brands in the world.

His most recent focus has been on government transparency, civic tech, and open law. He previously served as Senior Technical Advisor for Sunlight Foundation, where his work earned him the prestigious Legal Hacker of the Year award in 2016 from DC Legal Hackers.
