Edward Dowgiallo is an Architect at the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Federal Transit Administration’s Office of Information Technology. In this role, he helps DOT business lines create digital transformation strategies and works with technology teams to put guard rails in place for proper delivery of that strategy. Edward joined DOT three years ago from the private sector. In those three years, Edward insourced tools such as JIRA to enable agile delivery, rewrote the FTA’s SDLC to support agile delivery, implemented a DevOps pipeline for low code projects such as Appian, created a governance framework for technology and data, and conducted pilots of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. Outside of the Department of Transportation, Edward participates in numerous non-profits that facilitate communication about emerging technology projects in robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, low code, and block chain.
