Karina Homme is a dynamic Gov 2.0 thought leader, innovator, and adviser with more than 16 years of experience.

Currently, Karina serves as Microsoft Azure Government product team’s Federal Civilian market lead. Together with government executives, industry partners and multi-disciplinary innovation experts she facilitates building out future government solutions that drive best-value from the Microsoft Azure Government platform. In addition, Karina is the founder and community organizer of one of the largest free and open government cloud & IT modernization user community groups in the DC area.

Prior to Microsoft, Karina was at Salesforce.com establishing their Customer Success Program for the U.S. Federal Government. During her three-year tenure, she co-developed technology roadmaps to ensure adoption and value creation from the SaaS platform.

At Unisys, Karina led a social computing practice focused on the adoption of cloud collaboration tools and introducing new innovation methods to customers. Karina led “social” user engagement of the first government enterprise-wide cloud implementation at GSA. Additional leadership experience included leading public sector strategy, competitive intelligence, portfolio development and change management campaigns.

Additionally, Karina worked at Booz Allen Hamilton focused on international development projects to include a National Infrastructure Strategy for Poland and One Biometric I.D. for Nicaragua’s Social Security Office among others. With Collaborex, she led “Digital Jump-Start Strategy” engagements developing B2B eCommerce roadmaps and solution designs for companies such as Motorola, GE, and Federal Express.

She actively engages with her government IT social media network of over 21,000 people. She is passionate about driving future government that delivers agile, high impact citizen-driven services meeting today’s demands of a social era. Karina is a 2018 FCW Fed100 & 2017 FedScoop Fed50 award recipient.

Karina holds a B.A. in International Relations and an M.A.I.T in International Business & Trade from George Mason University.
