Sanjay Sardar

An thought leader and innovator in the Federal IT space, Sanjay Sardar is the Vice President of Modernization and Digital Transformation at SAIC.

Previously, Sanjay was the Vice President and Service Line Director for Data Science, where he was responsible for collaborating across the company to develop the company’s data science strategy, communicate its capabilities, and foster the career development of its data science technical talent.

Prior to joining SAIC, Sanjay served as chief information officer for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, where he was responsible for its strategic visioning, tactical leadership and operational management for all information technology.

From 2002 to 2008, he worked for General Dynamics as a senior program director. During his career, Sanjay has also held managerial positions with DDLabs, Inc., Oracle Corp., and Platinum Technologies, Inc.

In 2013, Sanjay received a prestigious Federal 100 award for revamping FERC’s networks to capitalize on cloud technology and moving 90 percent of the agency’s servers to a virtual environment.

Sanjay holds a Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University, a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Virginia, and is currently working toward completing additional Executive Education in Strategic Management and Leadership from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
