Quantum computing technologies are advancing at a rapid pace. Dr. King will highlight new advancements in applying annealing quantum computing and hybrid-quantum technology to address real-world problems across business and science. Dr. King will also explore the potential for quantum computing to improve AI efficiency and model performance, as well as how the technology could provide new capabilities for Blockchain.

Dr. Andrew King is Senior Distinguished Scientist at D-Wave, where he has led groundbreaking research in quantum annealing and optimization since 2013. He has a PhD in Computer Science from McGill University and a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Toronto. His research background is in graph theory, where he contributed to the proof of the long-standing Lovasz-Plummer conjecture, following a variety of results in graph colouring and decomposition during his doctorate at McGill University.
