Natalie Carey
Senior Director – Federal Civilian Practice at Appian Corporation
In October of 2019, Natalie became the Senior Director of Federal Civilian Practice at Appian Corporation. She currently manages service at Impact Level 4 and higher for customers’ production workloads with export-controlled data, privacy information, and protected health information, as well as other controlled unclassified information.
Prior to Appian, Natalie Carey joined Valiant Solutions in December of 2008 and served as Executive Vice President & Director of Government Solutions. Her business career includes worldwide program delivery support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) while at SAIC and program management and delivery support for the U.S. Navy while at L-3 Communications.
Natalie’s strong logistical and analytical skills help her provide innovative results-driven solutions to her clients. She is an active participant in ACT-IAC, SCIP, Dacor-Bacon Foreign Affairs Professionals and AFFIRM.
In 2011, Natalie created a non-profit organization called Cure Scleroderma which benefits those suffering from Scleroderma and its associated conditions. In 2001, her father was diagnosed with Scleroderma as well as Reynaud’s, Interstitial Lung Disease and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension shortly thereafter.
Natalie is a graduate from the University of Maryland College Park and speaks Spanish, Lithuanian, French and Italian. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. and enjoys concerts, food, traveling, golf and spending time with her husband, sons, family and friends.
