A senior executive that thrives in leading high performance, global teams in matrixed organizations, David Rubin is the Principal Director, Azure Government Engineering at Microsoft.

Before joining Microsoft, David was the Director, Service Engineering for the U.S. Department of Justice. As the head of IT Engineering and a member of the Senior Executive Service, he enabled the DOJ to modernize a wealth of technology services across Law Enforcement and Investigation, National Security, Crime Prevention and Victim Assistance, Litigation, and Incarceration and Prisoner Management across over 40 component agencies.

He also served as Chief of Collaboration & Identity Services and Head of Mobility for the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he was responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of four IT operational/engineering organizations with 200+ geographically dispersed professionals.

Prior to his work in the Federal Government, David worked for JPMorgan Chase as a Senior VoIP Consultant, Barclays Capital as an Assistant Vice President and Lehman Brothers as an Assistant Vice President.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baruch College and a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from The Johns Hopkins University – Carey Business School.
