Bridging the Gap: Advancing Diversity and Mental Health Equity
As diversity and inclusion become essential to driving innovation, federal efforts to advance diversity in Health IT are creating more equitable healthcare solutions. These initiatives aim to address the unique needs of minority populations, ensuring that Health IT systems are inclusive and responsive to the diverse demographics they serve. By fostering representation, accessibility, and tailored technology development, the federal government is actively working to bridge healthcare disparities for underrepresented groups. Minority communities face significant challenges in accessing mental health services, including stigma, cultural disconnects, and lack of access to appropriate resources.
This panel discussion will explore the federal government’s efforts to enhance diversity and inclusion within Health IT, with a focus on addressing mental health disparities in minority communities. By encouraging collaboration among policymakers, healthcare professionals, and technology developers, the aim is to forge a future where Health IT empowers diverse communities and provides equitable access to mental health care, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and effective healthcare system for all.

Navigate the Mobile Minefield: Addressing Cyber Threats in Healthcare
Mobile technologies have revolutionized patient care and healthcare operations, enhancing communication, workflow, and overall outcomes. With over 90% of healthcare professionals using smartphones, and around 50% using tablets for work, the reliance on these tools is undeniable. However, this rapid adoption has also exposed significant vulnerabilities, transforming mobile devices into prime targets for cyberattacks.
Join us as we explore the multifaceted threats facing healthcare systems, driven by the proliferation of mobile devices, the prevalence of cloud computing, and inadequate end-user practices. These challenges not only jeopardize the access to sensitive patient information but also compromise the very integrity of healthcare delivery, leading to financial repercussions and potential risks to patient safety.
Join us for a discussion on the latest insights into mobile threats in healthcare, as well as actionable strategies to fortify defenses against costly attacks that can disrupt care, delay treatments, and ultimately endanger lives.

Humans are the Loop: Leveraging Authoritative AI to Build Awareness, Provide Answers and Take Action
Disruptive technology can create opportunity where none existed before. What once appeared impossible becomes seemingly inevitable. Artificial Intelligence offers such promise. Much like technological revolutions of the past, this promise of new capability must be balanced against uncertainty and unintended consequences. Safeguards must be put in place. The requirement to ensure there is always a “human in the loop” represents one such safeguard to mitigate the risk of the unintentional or the unknown. However, humans aren’t simply “in the loop” – they are the loop. The session will explore how re-focusing on the human loop of understanding information will drive the use (and prevent the misuse) of AI as the technology continues to evolve.

Assessing Cyber Recovery Preparedness
In this tech talk, Rubrik will challenge federal healthcare agencies to assess their true preparedness for recovering from a cyber attack. Many organizations believe their backups are sufficient, but when faced with ransomware, operational disruption, and data integrity threats, are they truly ready to recover?
We will walk through a scenario where an agency is hit with a cyber attack, and explore critical questions: Can they recover data quickly? Is the data secure? How long will operations be down? We will demonstrate how moving beyond traditional backups to a comprehensive cyber recovery strategy can ensure readiness, data security, and operational resilience.
