About this Webinar:
The discussion will explore:
1.) How quantum computers may still be economically useful, even in settings where they do not provide an exponential speed up over their classical counterparts.
2.) How firms have been able to create value, even in the short term, by working and experimenting with the quantum hardware that is available today.
Speakers:

Francesco Bova
Associate Professor, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto
Francesco is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. His research focuses on the economics of quantum technologies. Francesco is also actively involved in Rotman’s Creative Destruction Lab as the Chief Quantum Economist for its quantum stream. CDL-Quantum has played an important role in supporting over 160+ quantum startups through its history. At one point, startups who came through the program accounted for over one-fifth of all quantum startups worldwide. Francesco also sits on the Leadership Council for Open Quantum Design as its Economist-in-Residence.
