White Paper: Platforms and Technologies

In an age of virtualization, platforms and technologies have become essential parts of business and government organizations. For organizations to survive it is paramount that Information Technology leaders keep up with the current technical trends and tools. 

This White Paper was prepared by members of the ATARC Application Development Working Group, and provides insights into various aspects related to platforms and technologies, such as their history and current state, acquisition practices, value streams, compliance and risk, and security concerns. The paper conludes with authors’ recommendations for organizations in their considerations regarding profitability of new platforms and technologies.
